  • Welcome

SoS logoWelcome to New Life Blacon Community Church. We are a community of Christians who have a heart to see the neighbourhood of Blacon transformed by the power and love of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Everyone

SoS logoChristianity is not a historic event or even a religion; it is a relationship with Jesus. As believers in a living God we learn how to know Him better and to 'walk like Jesus' in all aspects of our lives. We can do this through the Holy Spirit who is with us.
  • Sundays

SoS logoWe meet every Sunday morning in the Blacon Community & Arts Centre on Church Way (Behind the Blacon Parade shops). We kick off at 10.30am with tea, coffee and biscuits and then generally have a time of worship and some teaching. There is a childrens group available during the teaching for all primary school ages.

  • Mid-week Groups

SoS logoThere are various mid-week groups which meet regularly for study and social activities such as "Following Jesus" discipleship course every Wednesday 2pm in Cafe Life.

Thank you for visiting our web site. Our vision as a church is simply to take God at his word and live out the reality, love and power of the gospel message through Jesus Christ. We are amazed to see the way in which God is touching the lives of local people in everyday situations with physical healings, peace and salvation. Many people are experiencing forgiveness for the first time and the presence of God in their lives.

Romans 6:1-4
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

We had a great day (Saturday 10th August) down on the Blacon High School field for for the Blacon Festival (a community festival organised by the Blacon Community Trust).

Equipped with a small gazebo and a camping table for facepainting we put up our usual mixture of signs saying things like, "Life words", "Dream interpretation" and a big one saying "Free Today!! Miracles and Healings!!"

Needless to say, the mums and dads began to gather for the face painting and Aliss and the team soon began to talk to people about our cafe and the healings taking place. We were delighted to hear that most Blacon people visiting the Festival that day had heard of Cafe Life and when asked if they knew it was a 'Jesus cafe' replied, "Oh yes, I've heard about the miracles!"

There were notable healings taking place (a couple caught on film) including a number of teenagers with broken bones (arm, fingers, collar bone) who said that the pain had left, a laady with a torn muscle in her foot who was amazed to walk without pain (see video above), and great to meet the young girl whose 'lazy eye' was healed a year ago whose eye is still perfect.

We were delighted to have Tom Hardiman and Nathan Scott join us from MorningStar with their team of students and intercessors for our Sunday morning service at New Life Blacon. The team ministered prophetically and Tom brought a word for the church. We are grateful for all the sacrifices the team made to be with us (particularly as they were caught up in the airspace crisis) and we look forward to the mutual strengthening of our relationship with MorningStar.

MorningStar Fellowship of ChurchesWe are delighted to announce that New Life Blacon Community Church has been received into the MorningStar Fellowship of Churches. This effectively makes New Life Blacon the first MorningStar Fellowship Church outside of the United States and therefore a relationship of significance for both sides of the Atlantic! We know this relationship will enrich our mission here in Blacon and in turn serve the development of MorningStar Ministries into the UK and Europe. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Rick Joyner, Tom Hardiman and all at MorningStar Ministries.
